BATMAN & JESUS Greek Orthodox Protestors at Athens Premiere

Updated: Nov 14, 2022

Batman & Jesus made its European premiere this weekend on the nights of September 30 and October 1 in Athens, Greece, amid protests from members of the Greek Orthodox Christian community.

The European premiere was hosted by the Greek Mythicists, who also translated the film into Greek subtitles. Follow them on Facebook here to find out more about the skeptic movement in Greece, where Batman & Jesus fits in, and how you can help advance knowledge and awareness of history in a country that claims to be 98% Christian. (Though a growing number of atheists in Greece contest those figures as misleading and inaccurate.)

A call to action surfaced on the blog ΝΕΑ ΕΠΟΧΗ, citing Batman & Jesus as blasphemous and in promotion of an antichrist. Perhaps after viewing the film, some may change their minds on what the film is actually about.
